This year “they” had “guessed” that the Whatcom Creek hatchery would receive the largest return of Chum ever.

Well it looks like “they” were wrong, the hatchery has had only 500 Chums return so far.

Initially I had assumed, due to the fact that the Kings and Silvers were late and the fishing has been pretty good so far this year, that the Chums were simply late. Now I am assuming that the fish are not going to show. So riddle me this Batman:

1. Where are the dogs?

2. Have other river systems had reasonable returns of Chums this year?
