Not to quote myself, but on one of those BW trips, I caught a Laker that actually stopped our canoe dead cold in the water. Light spinning trout rod loaded w/ 8 lb. to a 4 oz. banana & trolling spoon out the back of the canoe held between my legs. It stopped the fvcking canoe dead cold mate! North of 25 lbs. 6 of us ate the entire thing in camp that night like a pack of ravenous wolves. We were on like day 12 of 14 and starving. I have the entire fight videoed on VHS somewhere (from one those old 1980's HUGE VHS camcorders). I was maybe 13 - 14 years old then. Those were great times.
