My old 1987 911 might've made some good exhaust noise when flooring it, but here's a fun fact. From inside with the windows up, it was sewing machine all the way.

Funny how that works, the “load noise to sewing machine fine ness noise” speed phenomenon. Usually it happened when the hi performance vehicle/motorbike really gets on the cam, the speed takes over , and time changes.

I gotta admit, I’m addicted to the noise , as I be leaned more towards the motorcycles side of fast road machines, and they can be loud indeed. Manx Norton 500 cc works racer comes to mind as does the Honda four stroke RC 211 V-5 Moto GP bike.
