Nice story and pictures Mike. About your story I think you should think twice about kicking the sleds off that river, theres only two aloud any ways and if you recall all those log jams you floated threw, not lifting your boat over. The guides cut them out not the Forest circus, and i am sure you didnt. Those two guides need to make a living and also live there year round so lets all just get along. I think you should be more concerned with how some of the lodges fludd the river with people, i have counted more than 30-40 lodge boats on that river in a day during steelhead in May.

The Situk offers good fishing for Silvers in September. Most of the water feeding the Situk comes from Situk Lake, so if it rains, the river stays clear.
