They had us on a 50 lb max pack (sorry, evo no 65lb packs allowed) so it was basically a backpack trip, pretty exciting to be heading this deep into the Mts in the eastern side of AK, had done several trips with Coley for fish in the past and I'll take it as a compliment that he felt that I was up to the task of a moose hunt in the extreme doityourself style that he is known for. Geared up and ready to go, the 206 would haul the three of us and our packs to a remote "hub" strip where we would each get into two place Cubs with big engines, tundra tires and impressive pilots to finish the trip to camp.... with a interesting landing on a ridgetop with this hard landing.....
