I'm really glad they're restoring the estuary. That's good news for Puget Sound in general. The hatchery stuff probably won't be a huge win for South Sound anglers; most of the benefit would likely be operational efficiencies in the rearing process (savings, but at what cost?), to Salmo's point.

For just a second, I entertained the possibility that WDFW might be planning to hand over George Adams to the Skokomish Tribe and stop State operations there, but then I remembered that the fish they produce there are intended to bolster fisheries in Hood Canal, the Strait, and all points north; not the in-river fishery we lost. Gotta keep pumping out fish for AK, Canada, and domestic big boat fisheries...which is what they do at Tumwater Falls, too....
