I am with you all on the teaching of someone on how to row. I have been rowing boats since I was about 8 years old. I use to take regular old prams down the snoqualmie and skykomish as a kid. So when I got into my first drift boat it was a piece of cake.
Ever since then I have only had two fishing partners that can actually row, I have a bunch of guys that think they can, but it is hard to fish or even think of fishing when you are going backwards down the river or you are in the brush. I do get allot of laughs out of this but it isn't so funny when you go buy one of your favorite holes and do not get to fish it. Any ways I like Justins lake theory since I live on a lake and I could sit on my deck and drink beer as I watch guys who think they can row , practice with the boat in front of me. I guess patience is the key when teaching green horns.
