Don't disagree with not leaving a gun laying about in a vehicle. People should be civilly liable but maybe not criminally liable. But requiring a certain type safe storage in one's home seems a bit of an overreach. But, this is Washington state after all and for god's sake don't think about creating harsher penalties for the criminals stealing and using them
