I fish both 9 1/2 foot rods in 5 and 6 weight. I’m fishing from a boat casting towards shore. I like an intermediate line on my 5 wt and will switch between an intermediate and fast sink on the 6 weight.

The fast sink is nice when fishing deeper water. But again, I’m fishing from a boat.
