One of my most fun SRCT fires was down at Mission on HC. I was on shore and caught a few that were 5-10" from the edge.

What I had heard for SRCT, and this was 50+ years ago, was that casting from a boat towards/ almost on, shore at high tide was the ticket. Especially if there were overhanging trees.

Might have to give that wading a try.
