Daughter and son-in-law went clamming at Copalis last night. Conditions were pretty good. Tide was -0.3; they were digging in daylight. They only needed five clams for their pot of chowder. They got NONE! Folks clamming around them were also getting skunked.

WDFW enforcement checked them. They said digging had been "poor" for this series of tides.

Canned clams from the Seabrook Market saved the day...and the dinner.
