Know who paid for the third recount?
There was an interesting piece on FB about Oregon's mail-in ballot history. It was a bipartisan effort aimed at ensuring that rural Oregon voters had easier access to the ballot box. In rural areas, it was (at least in Oregon) a long drive to polling places, during winter, and required a time commitment out of a more than likely self-employed day. One of the early bills, passed by their Leg, was vetoed by a Democrat governor.

I understand Tug's concern that signatures can be forged but the mail-in ballots sure seem to at least offer more register voters a more convenient voting process.
