Although Doc is at least considering that the Kenai Chinook fishery may have been poorly managed.


Talked to Doc in the past few days.....He's "Alaska bound" probably on the river bank right now...snag, snag, because the sockeye run is BIG.

There is NO DOUBT the Alaska fisheries for MANY years, and still is "poorly managed".

Back to Sea Lions, Grays Harbor, in river...that's above the 1o1 Bridge, has many Sea Lions right there....gill nets lay out, Sea Lions are right there, take many salmon right out of the nets. On some set nets, they just swim up to the net, roll over the cork line, pull fish out, roll past cork line, tear the salmon apart....eat their fill. It'd be so easy, .410 shot gun, 1 less Sea Lion.....

Been in this area, since 1968, in old days NO, I say NO Sea Lions were EVER seen as far up river as they are now........ grrrrrrrrrrrrr
