I am getting more and more to think that Commissioners should be elected. One from each administrative region plus an elected chair. The Commissioners would be elected only by the regional voters while the chair would be statewide.

It would take an initiative to do so.

Part of the initiative, though, would be to mandate a certain level of General Fund and other state monies because if that is not in there the whole thing would be license funded.
