Line is the key to fly fishing. I've heard so many times not to skimp on one's fly line. I agree with that. But what's skimping? I continue to use the Cortland 444 peach floater and SA's Supreme. They've been around over 30 years and perform as well as any of the more expensive varieties presently marketed.

Native Son's correct. Cortland and SA are the only manufacturers of fly lines in the U.S. The cheap lines really aren't that bad. They're usually made by Cortland and are of the 333 quality.
