I've used Big Bob's formula with excellent results. However, I made one significant change. I cut the amount of salt/sugar/borax in half. One cup of each (three cups total) in one quart of water is too much. When the solution started to cool, the salt/sugar/borax began to precipitate out into a layer of sludge at the bottom of the container. So I cut back to half cup of salt/sugar/borax per quart of water. I still use 2 tbl of Procure bait coloring per quart. I wait until the water is cool and soak the cut-up skiens for 20-30 minutes. Drying time is usually 24-48 hours. I wrap'em in plastic, vacum seal them in Mason jars, and freeze them. They seem to work great.
