Steelhead Mentors,

A couple questions:

1. I am a religious user of shrimp smelly jelly, but I have noticed a problem that when the goo gets on either the yarn or maribou feathers of a jig it kills the action. Is this something to worry about? Does the scent make up for the loss in jig action?

2. I have drifted corkies for a long time for steelies, but have recently taken up float fishing jigs, worms, and bait. How critical is float color & size? What are your thoughts on the best float (dink, cork, etc.)?
