In reference to your question about these spinners for summer-runs I'll be the odd man out and say leave the trebles on. I use sizes 1-3 for summer-runs. I have found through my experiences that the trebles are strong enough. However, I fish 6-8 lb. test and long, limber rods so bending a hook is not an issue. True, they need a little sharpening out of the box but the size and strength are sufficient. I have had little problem with lost fish due to the hook quality so why make more work for yourself if you don't have to?

Also, if your into releasing fish, stay away from siwash hooks as they do far more damage than trebles.

Just my two cents worth.
