Well, this is one of those questions that you can't give a definitive answer to.

It's all going to depend wheteher you're shor fishing vs. boat fishing, crowded vs. uncrowded, have room to chase vs. tight quarters, size of fish, clarity of water, and so on and so on.

Personally, I run 25 lb. mainline, 30 lb. leaders (they have very sharp teeth), size 5 Rosco swivels (avoid the twisted brass at all costs), and double 3/0's on our first-run kings on the Kasilof.

This might be a good starting point for you, but remember that the variables above will dicate changes. Good luck!
