The nice thing about September is that they average aroung 12 pounds, with some as high as 19, (my best about 12 years ago), and you can keep any silvers you want.

We weren't trying to show off, it just took us that many fish, and 10 dozen herring, to get there. My dad must have crackered 20 fish! Really! I kept on telling him not to set the hooks, just to ease into the fish, but then you know parents, they never listen. I lost about 5, my brother-in-law about 8. This didn't count the tip-offs from the downrigger that resulted in no fish.

It was a riot with four doubles and 2 triples. I hope it stays that way for August and September. My next chance to go is August 18th.
