Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I've used this trick to annoy friends before! smile The file is a bitmap (the term applies to raster image files of any color depth, don't make me get into comparing raster and vector!!!) usually called Logo.sys in your C:\ directory. The unfortunate news is that if your little prankster hasn't backed up the original, it's gonna be difficult to get your startup back to normal. You can delete Logo.sys, and it'll just display a blank screen instead of your little dune climber...

Autoexec.bat actually is not a program, just a list of commands DOS will execute before loading windows. As it is a DOS file, it is not actually required to run the computer... Unless you're running DOS of course! smile
