Ok now I'm going to mess up your guy's debate . I've got a cheap pair of breathables at $129 (well it's cheap when talking about breathables). The brand is Rafters and I've been very happy with them. I've fished them hard for about a year and a half and just the other day my left boot leaked. This was due to my wore out wading boots having a huge hole in the side and I must have got some gravel in there. So I patched up the small hole. This problem was brought on by me having the crappy boots.

If I was going to go to Alaska, I would put out the big money on waders so that I was assured a good trip. You don't want to get up there and have your waders let you down. I've never heard anyone complain about Simms so that would be my choice.
