Studs are great ,but they will chew up the bottom of an aluminum boat.You can combat this with outdoor carpeting or a rubber mat.

The Simms Guide Model boot with felt are the way to go.I've had mine for a couple of seasons as well as some of my fishing buds and they have held up great.

The Grub Creek boots look great but I know of three guys that have all had rivets pop out on the D rings for the lacing frown

The other option is to go to the Simms Lightweight boot. They are felt with removable studs so you can get the best of both worlds.
