This place can be red hot at times. Of course the water needs to cool off before the bite will turn on. If fishing during the day, troll red hotshots in the area around the fish ladder of the Oregon side. You will need to stay 200ft. from the fish ladder opening. Another popular technique is to slowly pull a jig, bobber and shrimp around. Now we come to my favorite way of fishing and that is to fish at night pulling lighted vortexes. laugh You will have to be on the Washington side to do this. I can't wait for the water to cool off. Hopefully that will be before all the steelies go by. There are launches on both sides of the river, right above the Dam. Don't worry about the depth, the fish will be in the upper 15 feet. I also like to troll along the wing wall of the Washington side. If you go, you will see a groove in the wall that I put there from my rod tip scraping along it! Oct. 12th 2000 20 FISH ON, 16 LANDED.
