I've hunted with one guy for about 15 years. He knows what I will do, and I know what he will do in any given situation. We share the birds, and deer, and don't take each other's shots. Most of all, we share the work. This is done without any disagreement, a minimum of talking (some hand signals), and we work at the same pace. I also trust him with my life.

When firearms are involved, things get a bit more intense, and they should. Not to say their aren't dangers when boating, but there are lifejackets to protect you from drowning. Not everyone wears a bullet proof vest.

I will take new folks out from time to time. If they can keep up, handle their firearms safely, communicate well, and are polite, they may get to hunt again. If not, they don't set foot in the woods with me a second time. But I would probably fish with them.
