we have built a few.. It is almost the same blank as the 1143.. except for the handle kit.. we have actually put a few of those handle kits (10" fore cork, 5" rear cork) on the 1143 and they fish really well.
In my opinion, I wouldn't spend the money on the Loomis, I'd buy a Rainshadow.... there are a few board members that you could ask...... the'd say the same thing.. I have yet to find someone that disagrees..
