if you don't mind. We've been finding
so many ways to effectively fish the
pink worm (other colors too - such as
black with a chartreuse tipped tail and
transparent purple in clear water)
for salmon and steelhead. Trolling the
lower Columbia earlier for silvers,
Don put on a spinner and pink worm
and got more strikes than the rest
of us using good plug-cut herring!
I also like to do a slow twitching
retrieve with them on a jighead hook.
Summer steelhead and early silvers
particularly go for this presentation,
maybe with the water no so cold yet. But
I will be trying it on winters too - soon!
