One of my largest Steelies was hooked on a pink worm.
I've been fishin them for around 6-7 years now,man was it tuff to get pink ones back then.
For worms I use the Visions,Bekley and those yamuguchi(sp),my preference is for the ones with flat or curly tails.

About 5 years back I started designing the Worm Collar to use with worms and most artifical baits (egg clusters etc.)
with some help from Roger we perfected them,

Here's what I've discovered when fishing the Worm Collar with a pinky,I choose a contrasting color for the head and schallpen feathers,
I prefer to keep my head and feathers the same color.
For that steelie green I love the Blood Red
when it's starting to get some color I use a Black one.
For low clear I love white.
I adjust the length of my worm depending on water clarity,the more color the more worm I fish,normally I keep my worm around 3-4".
