Well, after 9 days of chasing Bambi, I finally caught up with his sister (any deer unit) today. 20 yard shot with the muzzle loader ended it. My 14th deer in as many years of hunting.

Last Friday I had the pleasure of hunting with FisherDan and his son Zach, age 10. You will not meet two finer individuals out there. FisherDan would be one of my first choices as partner in any combat fishery, being as he stands WELL OVER 6'6". I think the average bull elk is even intimidated by him.

That said, if there are any folks out there in need of any meat, please let me know. I was lucky enough to score on both elk and deer this year and I am willing to share with those of us who are less fortunate. I will put all of the meat to use, but if someone else needs it more than I, I'll share.
