I have a 9'6" lami and it seems to have the sensitivity to hook fish but I would recomend something in the rainshadow line I have built 9 footers for a couple of people and felt they are more sensitive than the lami infact I am replacing my lami as soon as rainshadow comes out with their new line of rods. my .02
