What #5 are you fishing because if there are many #5's that will be able to throw that #7 15' Striper Veri-tip.

Also you might look into contacing your local shop and seeing if Rio will just send you the running line they use for the Coldwater Versi-tips. It is awesome and it stays soft in the really cold water, has an intermediate sink and has a decent sized head to reduce hinging.

If Rio will send you just the running line with the head, you can purchase the 15' heads (Aqualux, type III, type VI) in a #6 and then you will have no problem casting it on your #5.
