Didn't mean you Eddie. Reliable word has it that he flossed mostly salmon with the nymph and lead rigs, drift fishing them with fly rods and polaroid glasses in low water. I would think some of the fish bit though. I like those winged versions for summers - but I like steelhead muddler minnows even better.
