Dave I'd like to buy a vowel.......

Hedgehog;
Western culture is the best we have going for us, sure we have faults but our lower class still has more than 2/3 of the worlds population. Hell if you have food on the table that is still more than most third world countries have. Most lower class western cultures have that.

Army Corp of Engineers did build most of our hydroelectric dams and gave us the power to become what we now are, albeit at the expense of our fisheries. Are you ready to jerk them all out and let what remaining fish we have spawn on sterile mud flats, all the while you set in your hundred thousand home staring at a blank television waiting for a dead microwave to cook your dinner because of no generation plants. I don't think so. Most of the recovery of the habitat behind those dams is never going to be reclaimed in my lifetime let alone yours.

Tribes, I have no problem with tribes or Native Americans. I have friends that are Native Americans and I have the utmost respect for all Natives. What I don't have respect for is the waste that is seen on a daily basis during the run seasons for salmon harvest by tribes. One dosen't have to look far to see it and it is not concentrated on just a few "Tainted Indivduals" . If you have not seen it, then you have not wandered to far in to the woods lately.
I just feel there is much more money to be made by the "Tribes" if they would take to Guiding and maybe put some money in their pockets instead of putting "Gut Slashed" fish on the banks and boat loads of "Kitty Chow" into the present day economy. One must admit that Casino Gambling is a huge success! Money from "net fishing" is profitable after expenses in a declining market, get real!

I don't think most are ethical, yah and ska its because of bigits like you that most tribes have a bad rap
Hedgehog, most tribes got the bad rap syndrome with no help from me. This is the year 2002 and I have moved on from the 1800's when most of the Natives were exploited, maybe it is time for the rest of the tribe to move on and join us in the future, cause there is No Future in the Past. We can only learn from the past, in fact history helps us not to make the same mistake twice, sometimes. If we lose our remaining wild salmon and history proves that native netting along with a host of other known wrongs such as loss of habitat, dams, pollution, etc., was part of the cause, well I for one am not ready to accept tribal netting or commercial netting on endangered stocks to continue. If that makes me a bigot well....Sorry!

No I don't work for the WDF but I know more than you know presently about the inner workings of governmental politics. Yes, you younger employees get to be the whipping boys because you just don't know yet. You will learn, if you plan to become a governmental employee, knowledge of buttplugs, does come in handy, in case you may need to put one in your mouth if it means keeping your job. Does that make it right? No! Sometimes in politics that is just the way it is.

I applaud your willingness to carry the load that you are, most young people your age don't have it together as much as you seem to. You will go far!

No, I am not a bad guy, I am a nice guy. I was just prompting you to think some and become more inquisitive about the world around you, instead of firing both barrels and then looking to see if you hit anything. Once again welcome to the board.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. smile
