I fished the same river yesterday with a couple of buddies in the driftboat. We launched at Cook creek and floated to the highway bridge. We only hooked and landed one native that was about 13 pounds or so. Took a picture and slid her back in the river. We were too high in the drift to tube her so she went back.
You know what they say about the rising river, and barometor situation, seemed to kill the fishing. Of all the other boats that we talked to, only one other fish had been lost. Don't know if we saw you guys at the launch, but both of our trucks were the "new style" Powerstrokes, and we were there about day break.
I must say, even though we did not have the greatest day fishing, we had a great time telling fishing stories and lies! Sure did rain enough though, she's probably going to be out for a while with the forecast.
