Fishermen and water user's alike just took a big hit. The City of Snohoish closed it's boat launch on the Snohomish river yesterday! Although the launch wasn't ideal by any means, it served thousands of people wanting to launch somewhat mid-river on the Snohomish.
Two years ago I approached the city council and asked that they look into fixing the launch, after a short conversation they all said yes! I don't know what happened to their approval, but apperantly it ment nothing!

The comments by the current city mayor in closing the launch were ( people have the sense they will have to travel a long ways to get on the river, upstream to Monroe or down stream to Everett) tell that to the guy with the 12' boat and a electric motor! A great majority of the users of this launch were small boaters. I get the feeling that the current mayor Jack Collins dosen't have a clue.

If you are a user of this launch call the mayors office and let him know what a mistake they have made! (360) 568-3115 We the users are the only one that can make a differance, be polite but be pissed!
