Hi All,

Well, doesn't look like I'll get much Springer action again this year and will miss the Summer runs all together. frown My ship departs at the end of the month for a 5 1/2 month jaunt to the Western Arctic. Not a lot of time for port calls this trip, but since I'm "Queen of the Munson" (one of our small boats... MY personal favourite!) I will make SURE I have time to wet a line and drop a pot or two!

Anyhoo, I've only been Halibut fishing once (got a little guy so small he qualified as bait! laugh ) and have never fished Salmon in salt outside of Puget Sound (eons ago as a kid) or off the Columbia... So if you guys (and gals!) would like to share your abundant knowledge with me regarding gear, methods and what-not, I would most appreciate it! (As would my shipmates who are thinking there will be NO morale this trip... if fishing isn't morale, I don't know what is!)

We'll be working around Dutch Harbor, Nome and Barrow. I have a relatively respectable chunk of change to spend on morale fishing gear too, so I'd love some "gotta' have" tips for that as well. Thanks so much. Hopefully we'll have internet access for most of this trip and I won't miss out on the Message Board. smile

Love, Elsa
