An exception to the closure is the Snohomish River downstream of U.S. Highway 2, which will remain open through March 31, 2002. This area is closed to steelhead fishing, but open to fishing for other species.

Effective closure dates:

April 1, 2002 through May 31, 2002 for the Snohomish River downstream of U.S. Highway 2 confused ;

March 1, 2002 through Nov. 30, 2002 for Tokul Creek, a tributary of the Snoqualmie River, is closed to all fishing.
