An addendum to the earlier EO that closed the river to all king salmon fishing. Many of us have suggested for years that part of the first-run problems are based upon the early July slaughterhouse that takes place in the spawning grounds of these fish (I watched a TV show last winter with one of the lodges in this area of the river actually saying that they were trying to pick the fish off their beds). It doesn't do any good to let these fish through in June with C&R regs if you're gonna to kill those fish the first part of July!

Finally, some common sense comes into play and a good thing for the fish!!
