Kai-
If you want to experience the ultimate in coho fishing...go to the Tsiu River out of Yakatut, AK.

It is a very small river with one of the largest runs of coho in all of the World...plus they are all big.

In a typical year, it is not uncommon to see 100 fish days for a flyfisher for coho averaging 12 pounds...many pushing 18 and some over 20.

But this isnt a typical year...because the fish prices are so low, they are not going to commercial fish which in general takes about 30% of the run...so instead of catching 100 big ass coho in a day, you'll catch 130. eek eek

You fly into the Tsiu out of Yakatut. It has wonderful accomadations, is uncrowded aside from the oodles of brown bears and you motor up and down the river on ATV's fishing for the coho.
If you are intrested, let me know, and I'll get you a number to call to get some further info.
