I have a stupid question about spoons.

I don't use them much and the ones I have, I bought a while back and never really used it.

I just bought a bunch of spoons , swivels, split ring ....etc...from Mor-Tac so I can make my own and try them again.

The question I have is does it matter which end you put the hook on? ( I'm sure it does )

I am not sure on which end so I made a few with hooks on one end on a few and opposit end on others.
I am totally green when it comes to making them so how do I go about choosing which end the hook goes on?
