There are bright chum in the upper Canal now, but the area is closed until the 16th for retention. And don't ask me how to catch bright chum in the salt-- that's a question I asked about a week ago. Got some good answers, but I haven't put them to the test yet. I hope to do so Friday, weather permitting.

Probably the best bet will be small herring either trolled slowly through the schools or suspended under a float. However, I'm going to be trying the other methods as well as some I've thought about. If I do anything besides watch seagulls, I'll post my results.
