Green is a good all around color for silvers as well as peach. Longer leaders will help you with flossing fish thats about it. If you think about your setup flowing down the stream your hook and cork will never be that far above the bottom unless you're in slow current and if you have a 6 foot leader and really want to catch a fish that bites you will have to wait for the weight to travel 12 feet before you notice the fish considering the fish stays put. I know fish will grab the setup and tear out of there like crazy but think of all the fish you missed that just stayed put or spit your gear before it traveled the 12 feet.
