Another quick exlamation point about the canyon stretch of the Hoh (where you take out at Oxbow).....I would not recommend going thru that water sight unseen. Go with someone who knows it and has rowed it before...its not super hard, but there are enough spots where you need to see it once before going thru, especially at the very bottom where you drop down and have to avoid the big boulder right above the Oxbow take out....more than a couple boats have gone over there. Oddly enough its a bit harder at lower or moderate flows.
