Let's see....we had some of the best returns of fish the last two years due to....drum roll please....the ESA! Otherwise the odds are we would still have declining runs. Of course the ESA is a thorn to some. Hopefully I quote this right....I think it was Senator Hatfield from Oregon when ESA was looming...."We have no salmon problem. There are plenty of Salmon in Alaska".
