I use and recommend Fireline for all of the reasons stated. I will try and describe a knot for you that I learned from a Sol Duc River guide who uses Fireline. Run the tag end of your line through the eye and do about 3 - 4 wraps up the line, next do 3 or 4 wraps back down the line, then run the tag end through the loop formed by the first series of wraps then run the tag end through the loop formed by your second series of wraps and pull it tight, now put in a couple of half inches with the left over tag line. I am sorry but I don't know the name of the knot, just how to do it. It works great for Fireline and I assume it would work the same for braided line. Take care
