Take rod building material materials for example... I used to drive to shoffs in kent to get what I needed... thread, flexcoat, etc.... there gone so now I mail order.

Dont forget that some of the mail order shops are also mom and pop shops in their local area as well. Gregs in Lake Stevens... Anglers Workshop... Both to far to drive to in order to buy a spool of thread...
