I fall in with the group that believes that mother natture is mother nature and as hard as we try we cannot replace her.EVERYTIME man intervenes {logging mining, comercial fishing....}we loose and end up back peddalling pretending like we can use science to fix her.It has never worked.

I grew up understanding that energy never goes away just changes into another form.I like to think of the food chain the same way.Fish make up a huge part of the food chain.Thinking along those lines the fish in our rivers have an impact clear across the world!Turning a watershed into a mathemaatical formula does not work because that watershed is such a small part the fish play in the food chain. We get stuck in our little box, thinking only about our favorrite fishery but really it is almost beyond our imagination. It is definately beyond our science.

The thought of medalling in the food chain with cloning scares the hell out of me.We have no buisness, given our track record, presuming that we can continue down this path. There is no scientific discovery out there that is going to fix what human nature has done to mother nature.Admiting our part in the scheme of things will fix her but kinda like a bad drug addict we are going to have to hit rock bottom before we open our eyes to the truth.

The truth is that if we want the wild fish to survive than we need to lessen, remove mans impact on the fish.plain and simple.I know this is a very complicated issue, but the truth is that for the wild fish to survive it has to happen.pieriod.

Micro,
I grew up fishing Mosher creek, clear creek, and barkers creek.I could tell you how differant stages of development along those watersheds has lessend there ability to support fish.A bunch of breeder box chums does not indicate a healthy stream.
