I was hoping that Bob Batson might notice this thread and advise you. Perhaps you should email him for his opinion.

Here's a chart showing a few 9 foot blanks and their specs.

It would seem that a 1082 would be heavier than a 9 wt but lighter than a 10 wt.

You will notice that in the 43 million modulus the 1081 is a bit stouter than the 9 wt fly blank and the 1084 is a bit stouter than the 10 wt while the 1085 and 12 wt are identical.

You may also note that the 51 million modulus rods are less tapered than the 43 million modulus to provide similar character.
