When i was about 12 or 13 I decided I wanted to fly fish with a open faced reel and an ultralight rod. So I began lashing the fly back and forth with the drag really loose. Back and forth stripping line from the reel like a champ. Thought it was going well but. I just happen to hook the back of my head right where the hole is in a hat. Perfect cast. I fished a little while longer with a fly stuck in my head and then decided to go back to camp to have the barb cut off and hooked removed in reverse.

Fun times as a stupid kid.
