I have seen a couple of them Cubera in the 50-60 pound class. Hooked about five in my life. Each one lasted about 3 seconds. 65lb spectra and 100lb leader with 30 lbs of drag just doesn't hack it. Next year we are going to have to gear up so we stand a chance aginst them fish.

Dandy Gallo. Fish of a lifetime for sure, my guess is it has 60 all covered up no problem. Doesn't get any better landing it on a surface popper too. That chugger hanging out of teh Cuberas mouth is a dandy lure. They quit making them in the states about 6 years ago. Found some in Singapore, ordered me up every last one the guy had sitting on the shelf.
